We can take up to 12 people out on a trail ride at one time but we never put two parties together. It will be just you, a trail guide, and the folks you came with out on the trail (even if it is only you!)
-
Yes. It is not safe for most our horses to carry more than 210 pounds. However, we have two horses that can carry 240lbs and one horse that cant carry 250lbs, so we can accomodate one heavy set rider.
We have scales and weigh everyone who comes to ride! Please weigh yourself before you book your ride. No refunds on over the weight limit.

We reccomend you wear closed-toe shoes but open-toe is okay (our guides ride barefoot and bareback), comfortable pants or shorts but snug fitting underpants (fellas). Try to avoid pants with large seams in the inner thigh region. DO NOT wear bathing suit bottoms! We have heard there is an unimaginable amount of chaffing involved when you do. Ladies, these are some smooth riding horses but there can be a little bounce when the horses are switching gears so wear a top appropriate for any high impact sport. Also, DO NOT wear strong perfumes or cologne. The bugs love it!

Sunscreen and bug spray. Some water and maybe a snack.

Sure thing. It is up to you whether or not you want to bring it out on the trail, though. It is real easy to drop things when you are riding a 1,200 pound animal. If you want to take some pictures before we get on the trail, we can keep your camera safe until you get back.
-
Absolutely! Our horses love treats. Some of their favorites are carrots, apples, bananas, and watermelon rinds. We used to give them peppermints and tic tacs but we have had a problem with horses chipping their teeth recently so we ask that if you are going to bring horsey treats, please make them soft.

We are 2.7 miles north of Highway 20 off of Highway 77. Turn right on to Rolling Pines Road . We are 2.5 miles down on the right hand side. The address is 2273 Rolling Pines Rd, Chipley, FL 32428. YOUR GPS WILL LIE TO YOU!! Don’t take any other road from 77 except Rolling Pines Road.

They CAN ride their own horse. NO they CANNOT ride with you.
-
Yes. There is a limit of 2 children under 8 years at a time. Also, if you are bringing someone else’s child, please print the waiver, have the child’s parent or guardian fill out, and bring our waiver. The youngest riders we take are 4 years old.
-
According to Nicole’s Law, “Any child under the age of 16 riding an equine on public property must wear a helmet”. If you are 16 or older you do not have to wear a helmet but certainly can if you would like to. We have many helmets here to fit a variety of head sizes.
-
Not to worry. We have some very gentle horses here and we are sure that if riding a horse is something you want to do, you will have an excellent time! That also means, if you don’t really like horses, don’t like getting dirty, or aren’t a fan of the outdoors, don’t let someone talk you into coming. We understand that not everyone loves horses the way we do but if you like at least one of those things, we are sure you will have a great time.
-
That is entirely possible. Well, probably. Yes, you will most certainly get dirty. Even though our horses are brushed almost every day and bathed several times a week they live outside. They roll around in the dirt, get sweaty, and shed. Only wear white if you aren’t fond of that article of clothing. Don’t wear your favorite shoes. Wear the outfit you would wear if you were painting your garage.

That is up to you. Most people feel that they received special attention and were well taken care of and therefore show their appreciation with a tip. Even though this business isn’t technically non-profit, the upkeep of the animals and property exhaust all of the intake. Anything you can do to keep us in business, either by repeat visits or tipping, is very much appreciated!
-
Because there are a lot of dogs on the property. Most all of the dogs here are rescues. There are about 8 dogs ranging from a Yorkie to a Black Mouth Cur who live here. They are all real friendly and most of them will likely greet you at the gate. Some of them even like to go out on the trail with the horses.
-
Sometimes. Right now we do not have any horses for sale.
-
We do not officially run a rescue. We just have a hard time saying no to an animal in need. That is why we are looking to find permanent homes for some of our horses. And YES you can donate money to help care for the horses. Just click the donate button below to enter any amount you wish to give. Any and all are very much appreciated!
